The Ice Cream Association's 55th Annual Convention brought together distributors, manufacturers, mobile vendors, and industry partners for three days of learning, networking, and celebration. This year’s event marked a significant milestone with record attendance, the largest Exhibit Hall to date, and a noticeable buzz around new products and innovation.

From the opening reception to the closing keynote, the convention highlighted why this industry continues to prosper: strong relationships, ongoing improvement, and a shared dedication to serving communities with products people love. For DSD distributors and mobile operators, the convention remains one of the most valuable opportunities to see what’s next, compare strategies, and build partnerships for the upcoming season.
The convention began with enthusiasm at the annual golf outing, a favorite tradition that not only gathers everyone early but also helps support Wheelchairs for Warriors.

Whether reconnecting with long-time customers or meeting new partners, the golf outing established a friendly atmosphere that carried into the rest of the convention. That momentum continued at the Newcomer Kickoff and Welcome Reception, where members—both new and returning—gathered for an energetic evening of introductions and conversation. The enthusiasm in the room made it clear: this year’s convention was off to a strong start.

A big thank you to The Magnum Ice Cream Company for sponsoring the reception. The room was buzzing, and you could already feel the excitement building for a record-breaking convention.
One of the highlights of the convention was the Welcome Banquet and Awards Ceremony. It was an evening dedicated to recognition and celebration as the industry honored leaders who continue to make a lasting impact.
2025 Award Honorees included:
Industry of Excellence Award
Doctorate of Ice Cream Award

It was a memorable night that united the community to honor dedication, leadership, and decades of service in the ice cream industry.
This year’s education sessions offered a powerful blend of inspiration and practical insights. Keynotes from Scott Friedman motivated attendees to remain adaptable, lead with creativity, and prepare for the “new abnormal.”

General sessions from industry partners provided valuable insights into consumer trends, retail planning for 2026, and the evolving regulatory landscape—all top-of-mind topics for distributors and mobile vendors preparing for the next season.
The overall message was clear: the industry is evolving rapidly, and the companies that remain curious, data-driven, and customer-focused will succeed.
The Exhibit Hall was one of the biggest successes of the convention—its largest in the event’s 55-year history. With a record number of exhibitors and a steady stream of attendees, the excitement was nonstop.
Distributors, manufacturers, and mobile vendors had the chance to:

The energy in the hall showed where the industry is headed: more innovation, more collaboration, and strong momentum into 2026.
Beyond the sessions and exhibit hall, the convention was filled with moments that united the industry in a fun, relaxed way. This year’s networking events—including a carnival-themed evening with games, delicious food, and plenty of laughs—were a big hit.

For many attendees, these gatherings are what make the convention feel less like a conference and more like a reunion. It’s a chance to reconnect with friends, meet new partners, and strengthen the relationships that make this industry so special.
The final day concluded with more valuable insights, including planning sessions for 2026 and a closing keynote focused on remaining innovative and proactive in a rapidly changing market. As attendees headed home, the message was clear: there’s a lot to look forward to in the year ahead.
With new products, stronger connections, and fresh ideas to share with their teams, distributors and manufacturers left the convention energized for 2026 and are already looking forward to next year’s gathering in Florida!
